Joseph Welch is a visionary and adaptive leader known for transforming programs and empowering others to shape their own paths. As Chair of the Department of Music and Theatre at Blackburn College, he inherited a program marked for closure and built it into a thriving, student-centered curriculum that blends practical skills with artistic growth. He collaborates closely with students to craft individualized career paths, selects productions around their interests, and develops innovative solutions to ensure engagement and investment.

By systematically guiding students through introspection, imagination, and exploration while providing real world work experiences, Joseph Welch believes we can set them up for meaningful careers in music. bunker hill education foundation
Joseph Welch was elected president of the Bunker Hill Education Foundation in June 2025. In the first year of his leadership, the organization developed mission and vision statements, clarified policies and procedures, and launched new brand imaging. The Foundation funds scholarships, classroom grants, and the Wall of Honor.
